Thanksgiving Hockey

Every Thanksgiving morning I get together with some friends and play street hockey. It's a lot of fun, especially when Heather plays with us. This year we had a decent turn out.

For the size of court we play on (Emerson Elementary School's parking lot) 3-3 or 4-4 is best. That way everyone gets a part of the action.

This year we had some sweet goals that one of the guys made. It was nice than the orange construction cones we normally use. It's hard to see but there are nets on the goals. They were made out of the netting put around trees to the birds out. Unfortunately, the netting wasn't quite strong enough to keep the ball from breaking through.

We usually play every few weeks throughout the year but haven't this year. You don't realize how out of shape you are until you go for a fast break and run out of breath.

Kiddie Pictures

There are only a few baby pictures of me that I am actually wearing clothes. The rest of the pictures are me in some kind of mess. Maybe the horror stories of my past are true. At least Jacob was a wonderful child who never caused his mother grief. Our children have hope.

Here is Jacob with some sticky fingers.

I'll never forget my favorite horse or the boots I never took off.

This is Jacob's messiest moment in his life. Not bad. I'm sure he used his napkin after this bite. I'm glad his mom captured this rare moment.

Busy Times

Things have been busy for Heather and I. She's been doing most of the posting, but we've haven't had the chance to update this for a while. I recently had an interview with Boeing for an internship position and am still waiting to hear back from them.

Heather enjoys her new job. The office is only open four days a week and it's set up so every other week has a four day weekend. This will be really nice now that she has finished her dental assisting class which met on Saturdays.

Heather's Church Calling

I was called to be an assistant advisor in the young women’s program shortly after coming back from Utah this summer. I teach 14 Beehives in our ward and often find myself wondering, "Was I like this when I was their age??" I do remember being a new beehive and our leader teaching us about prayer. She was teaching us the importance of pondering what we have said rather than rushing through our prayer only to scramble into bed afterwards. She said she struggled with this herself and asked if we also struggled too. No one raised their hand as we stared with blank looks on our faces. She looked shocked and then asked, “None of you struggle with this?” I raised my hand to explain that I am already in my bed when I say my prayers. The other girls all chimed in, “Me too.” I think our leader about died. I guess I’ve come a long way since then.

Getting Fresh

We all have our talents. Kissing is ours.

AND THEY'RE OFF...

Has it been over a year already??? A year and five months to be exact. It seems like yesterday we were married. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes... Well, not yet.

Doesn't every girl cut their hair way short after she gets married???

Heather's New Hair Cut!!! Way Short and loving it. She never had short hair and decided to surprise everyone, even her husband, and go all the way.

We are forewarned

I wish we had one of these. In Brigham City we lived in the basement of the house I'm standing in front of. We fell asleep to this babe's crying. It was like music to Jacob's ears. (Bowah, Bowah!!!!!)

HOW DO YOU DO IT??

This was the first picture taken with our new digital camera we bought for our anniversary. Ahhhh, So cute.

A Few Pictures

Here are a few photos of us. The first one is from our luncheon when we were married (May 06). The second is from a hike we went on in the Superstition Mountains while we were dating. The last one was a nice cloudy day in Brigham City (where we spent last summer).

Intro

My friend Spencer asks me every day at work when I'm going to start a blog. Well, Spencer, here it is. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to post (I'm pretty busy with school), but I thought I'd give it a shot.
